डिप्लोमा इन फार्मेसी एक्जिट परीक्षा को डिप्लोमा इन फार्मेसी एक्जिट इग्ज़ैमिनेशन विनियम, 2022 के माध्यम से लागू किया गया है। इन विनयमों के लागू होने के बाद, जिन उम्मीदवारों ने फार्मेसी में डिप्लोमा का अनुमोदित पाठ्यक्रम सफलतापूवर्क पूरा कर लिया है और डिप्लोमा इन फार्मेसी एक्जिट परीक्षा में अहर्ता प्राप्त कर ली है, वे ही फार्मेसी अधिनियम 1948 की धारा 33 के तहत फार्मासिस्ट के रूप में पंजीकरण के लिए पात्र होंगे। यह उन व्यक्तियों पर लागू नहीं होगा जिनके नाम राज्य के फार्मासिस्टो के रिजस्टर में पहले से ही दर्ज हैं। नियमों के अनुसार, “डिप्लोमा इन फार्मेसी एक्जिट एग्जामिनेशन (डीपीईई) का उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चत करना है कि राज्य भेषजी परिषद के साथ फार्मासिस्ट के रूप में पंजीकरण के लिए आवेदन करने वाले परीक्षार्थी ने डिप्लोमा इन फार्मेसी (डी- फार्म) में फार्मेसी शिक्षा एवं एक व्यापक व्यावहारिक प्रिशक्षण कायर्क्रम प्राप्त किया है जैसा कि शिक्षा विनियम, 2020 या समय-समय पर लागू होने वाले विनियम में प्रदान किया गया है, एक ऐसे संस्थान में जो फार्मेसी अधिनियम, 1948 की धारा 12 के तहत फार्मेसी काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा अनुमोदित है । फार्मेसी एक्जिट परीक्षा में डिप्लोमा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद, एक परीक्षार्थी फार्मेसी अधिनियम, 1948 की धारा 32(2) में उल्लिखित शर्तों को पूरा करने के अधीन फार्मासिस्ट के रूप में पंजीकरण का हकदार होगा। पंजीकरण केलिए आवेदन रिजस्ट्रार को संबोधित किया जाएगा जो राज्य भेषजी परिषद को अधिनियम की धारा 46(2)(जी) में निर्दिष्ट निर्धारित शुल्क और दस्तावेजों के साथ देना होगा। 

आयुर्विज्ञान में राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा बोर्ड (एनबीईएमएस) को डिप्लोमा इन फार्मेसी एक्जिट एग्जािमनेशन विनमय, 2022 के अनुसार डिप्लोमा इन फार्मेसी एक्जिट एग्जामिनेशन (डीपीईई) आयोजित करने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है। एनबीईएमएस की भूमिका परीक्षा के संचालन, परिणाम के प्रकाशन और परिणाम को फार्मेसी काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया और सभी राज्य फार्मेसी काउंसिल को सौंपने तक सीमित है।

The Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination has been introduced through Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination Regulations, 2022. After coming into force of these regulations, the candidates who have successfully completed the approved course of Diploma in Pharmacy and have qualified the Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination only will be eligible for registration as pharmacists under section 33 of the Pharmacy Act 1948. These regulation shall not apply to the persons whose names are already entered in the register of pharmacists for the state. As per the regulations, “The objective of the Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination (DPEE) is to ensure that a candidate applying for registration as pharmacist with the State Pharmacy Council has undergone pharmacy education and a comprehensive practical training programme in Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) course as provided in the Education Regulations, 2020 or the regulations that may be in force from time to time in an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. After having passed the Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination, a candidate shall be entitled to registration as a pharmacist subject to fulfilment of the conditions enumerated in section 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. The applications for registration shall be addressed to the Registrar of the State Pharmacy Council and shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee and the documents as referred to in section 46(2)(g) of the Act. 

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct the Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination (DPEE) as per Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination Regulations, 2022. Role of NBEMS is limited to conduct of the Examination, publishing the result and handing over the result to Pharmacy Council of India & all State Pharmacy Councils.
