अवलोकन An Overview:

एनबीईएमएस अपने प्रत्यायित संस्थानों के माध्यम से आधुनिक चिकित्सा के 29 विषयों में DNB ब्रॉड स्पैशेलिटी पाठ्यक्रम संचालित करता है। पोस्ट एमबीबीएस उम्मीदवारों के लिए पाठ्यक्रम की अवधि 3 वर्ष है। जिन उम्मीदवारों ने पहले ही किसी विशेष विशिष्टता में 2 वर्ष का मान्यता प्राप्त पीजी डिप्लोमा प्रोग्राम पूर्ण कर लिया है वे, उसी विशिष्टता में 2 वर्षीय पोस्ट डिप्लोमा DNB प्रोग्राम कर सकते हैं। एनबीईएमएस निम्नलिखित तरीके से 29 ब्रॉड स्पैशेलिटी विषयों में पोस्ट डिप्लोमा DNB पाठ्यक्रम संचालित करता है NBEMS administers DNB Broad Specialty Courses in 29 disciplines of modern medicine through its accredited institutions. The duration of the course for Post MBBS candidates is for 3 years. Candidates who have already completed a recognized PG Diploma programme of 2 years in a particular specialty can undergo a 2 years Post Diploma DNB Programme in the same specialty. NBEMS administers such Post Diploma DNB Courses in 29 broad specialty disciplines as listed below.

प्रवेश एवं काउंसलिंग Admission and Counseling:

पोस्ट एमबीबीएस प्रशिक्षु एनबीईएमएस द्वारा आयोजित NEET-PG परीक्षा को सफलतापूर्वक उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद 3 वर्षीय DNB पाठ्यक्रम में प्रवेश पा सकते हैं। 2 वर्षीय पोस्ट डिप्लोमा DNB प्रोग्राम में प्रवेश एनबीईएमएस द्वारा ही आयोजित DNB-PDCET के माध्यम से होता है। ये दोनों परीक्षाएँ प्रतिवर्ष निर्धारित कार्यक्रम के अनुसार आयोजित की जाती हैं। The Post MBBS trainees get admission to 3 years DNB course after successfully qualifying the NEET-PG examination which is conducted by NBEMS. The entry to 2 years Post Diploma DNB Programme is through DNB-PDCET which is also conducted by NBEMS. Both these examinations are conducted annually as per prescribed schedule.
NEET-PG के आयोजन के बाद 3 वर्षीय पोस्ट एमबीबीएस DNB प्रोग्राम में प्रवेश के लिए मेरिट-आधारित काउंसलिंग डीजीएचएस मेडिकल काउंसलिंग समिति, स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा संचालित होती है जिसके साथ ही विभिन्न MD/MS/PG डिप्लोमा पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश के लिए भी काउंसलिंग की जाती है। 2 वर्षीय पोस्ट डिप्लोमा DNB प्रोग्राम में प्रवेश के लिए काउंसलिंग DNB-PDCET के आयोजन के बाद एनबीईएमएस द्वारा संचालित होती है। The merit-based counselling for admissions to 3 years Post MBBS DNB Programme after conduct of NEET-PG is administered by the Medical Counseling Committee of DGHS, MoHFW, Govt of India along with the counseling for admissions to various MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. The counseling for admissions to 2 years Post Diploma DNB Programme is administered by NBEMS after conduct of DNB-PDCET.

डीएनबी प्रशिक्षु के रूप में पंजीकरण Registration as DNB Trainee:

3 वर्षीय या 2 वर्षीय DNB पाठ्यक्रम के लिए DNB सीट का चयन करने के बाद, प्रशिक्षु को संबन्धित पाठ्यक्रम में DNB प्रशिक्षण के लिए एनबीईएमएस के साथ पंजीकृत किया जाता है। जबकि NEET-PG के माध्यम से प्रवेश प्राप्त करने वाले पोस्ट एमबीबीएस प्रशिक्षु 3 वर्षीय प्रोग्राम के लिए और DNB-PDCET के माध्यम से प्रवेश प्राप्त करने वाले पोस्ट डिप्लोमा प्रशिक्षु 2 वर्षीय प्रोग्राम के लिए पंजीकृत किए जाते हैं। साधारणतया इन्हें क्रमश: प्राथमिक और माध्यमिक DNB प्रशिक्षु कहा जाता है। Registration as DNB Trainee: After opting for a DNB seat for the 3 year or 2-year DNB courses, the trainee is registered with NBEMS for DNB training in respective course. Whereas Post MBBS trainees entering through NEET-PG are registered for the 3-year programme, Post Diploma DNB trainees entering through DNB-PDCET are registered for the 2-year programme. Customarily, they are being called Primary DNB and Secondary DNB trainees respectively.
DNB प्रोग्राम के लिए प्रशिक्षु की पात्रता संबन्धित प्रवेश परीक्षा के लिए सूचना बुलेटिन में निर्धारित मानदंड के आधार पर निर्धारित की जाती है। मानदंड को पूरा करने और एनबीईएमएस को निर्धारित दस्तावेज़ के साथ आवश्यक आवेदन जमा करने एक बाद, प्रशिक्षु एनबीईएमएस के साथ पंजीकृत होता है। इस प्रभाव के लिए “अस्थायी पंजीकरण का पत्र” प्रशिक्षु और उसके प्रशिक्षण संस्थान को प्रेषित किया जाता है। The eligibility of the trainee for DNB programme is determined on the basis of prescribed criteria in the information bulletin for respective entrance examination. On successfully meeting the criteria and submission of required application with prescribed documents to NBEMS, the trainee gets registered with NBEMS. A letter to this effect in form of a “Letter of Provisional Registration” is communicated to the trainee and his/her training institution.

एनबीईएमएस छुट्टी नियम एवं प्रशिक्षण भत्ता NBEMS Leave Rules and Stipend:

DNB प्रशिक्षुओं का प्रशिक्षण एनबीईएमएस छुट्टी नियमों द्वारा नियंत्रित होता है। सभी DNB प्रशिक्षुओं को उनके DNB पाठ्यक्रम के दौरान छुट्टी लेने के निर्धारित नियमों से पूर्णतया परिचित होने की सलाह दी जाती है, क्योंकि उनके द्वारा निर्धारित छुट्टी से अधिक ली गयी छुट्टी उनके प्रशिक्षण काल को बढ़ा सकती है। यदि विस्तारित प्रशिक्षण प्रशिक्षण को पूर्ण करने की निर्धारित कट-ऑफ तिथि से आगे बढ़ जाता है तो यह विस्तार DNB फाइनल परीक्षा मे प्रशिक्षु की पात्रता को प्रभावित कर सकता है। निर्धारित सीमा के पार अधिक छुट्टी पाठ्यक्रम के लिए प्रशिक्षु के पंजीकरण को रद्द कर सकती है। The training of the DNB trainees is governed by a set of NBEMS leave rules. All DNB trainees are advised to be thoroughly acquainted with the prescribed rule for availing leave during their DNB course because excess leave availed by them over and above the prescribed leave shall lead to extension of their training. This extension might even affect the eligibility of the trainee for DNB Final Examination in case the extended training goes beyond the prescribed cut-off date for completion of training. Excess leave beyond a prescribed limit may even cancel the registration of trainees for the course.
सभी DNB प्रशिक्षुओं को एनबीईएमएस द्वारा निर्धारित दिशा-निर्देशों के तहत न्यूनतम प्रशिक्षण भत्ता दिया जाता है। प्रशिक्षुओं को एनबीईएमएस छुट्टी दिशा-निर्देशों के तहत पात्र छुट्टी सहित प्रशिक्षण की पूर्ण अवधि के लिए प्रशिक्षण भत्ता दिया जाता है। हालांकि उन्हें 36 महीनों (3 वर्षीय प्रोग्राम) या 24 महीनों (3 वर्षीय प्रोग्राम) से अधिक के लिए प्रशिक्षण भत्ता नहीं दिया जाएगा, यदि उनका प्रशिक्षण उनके द्वारा ली गयी अधिक छुट्टी की वजह से बढ़ जाता है। All DNB trainees are paid a minimum stipend as per guidelines prescribed by NBEMS. The trainees are paid stipend for the entire duration of training including their eligible leave as per NBEMS leave guidelines. However, they shall not be paid stipend for a period more than 36 months (for a 3-year programme) or 24 months (for the 2-year Programme) if in case their training gets extended due to excess leave availed by them.

पाठ्यक्रम एवं प्रशिक्षण Curriculum and Training:

DNB प्रशिक्षण के दौरान, प्रशिक्षुओं को कार्यक्रम में विशिष्टता के लिए निर्धारित दिशा-निर्देशों के आधार पर संबन्धित विशिष्टता के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में तैनात किया जाता है। विस्तारित पाठ्यक्रम संरचना, समाहित किए जाने वाले प्रशिक्षण क्षेत्र, परीक्षाओं का पाठ्यक्रम, आदि DNB प्रोग्राम विशिष्ट पाठ्यक्रम में प्रकाशित किए गए हैं । During the DNB training, the trainees are posted to different areas of the specialty concerned as per the guidelines prescribed in the curriculum for that specialty. Detailed course structure, training areas to be covered, posting schedules, syllabus of examination etc are published in DNB Programme specific curricula.
सभी DNB प्रशिक्षुओं को निर्धारित पाठ्यक्रम के आधार पर संबन्धित प्रशिक्षण संस्थान द्वारा प्रशिक्षण दिया जाता है। प्रशिक्षण संस्थान एनबीईएमएस के निर्धारित दिशा-निर्देशों के तहत बेडसाइड शिक्षण, यदि लागू होता है, सहित अकादमिक शिक्षण और प्रशिक्षण का आयोजन करेगा। प्रशिक्षुओं को अपने ई-डॉक्टर लॉग बुक के निदृष्ट प्रारूप के तहत निरीक्षित/भाग लिए गए मामलों; भाग लिए गए/पेश किए गए जर्नल क्लब्स/व्याख्यानों, आदि की ई-बुक बनाकर रखने की जरूरत है। प्रशिक्षु के संरक्षक/मार्गदर्शक द्वारा कथित ई-बुक की समीक्षा एक अनिवार्य आवश्यकता है। All DNB trainees are provided with the training by the respective training institute as per prescribed curriculum. The training institution shall conduct the academic teaching and training including the bed side teaching, if applicable, as per prescribed guidelines of NBEMS. The trainees are required to maintain an e-log of cases observed/attended; Journal Clubs/Seminars attended/presented etc as per the format specified in their e-Doctor Log book. A regular review of the said e-logbook by the mentor/guide of the trainee is a mandatory requisite.

थीसिस प्रोटोकॉल एवं थीसिस Thesis Protocol and Thesis:

सभी DNB प्रशिक्षुओं को एनबीईएमएस द्वारा निर्धारित समयसीमा के भीतर अपने प्रस्तावित थीसिस के साइनोप्सिस/प्रोटोकॉल लिखने और जमा करने की अवश्यकता है। थीसिस प्रोटोकॉल का मूल्यांकन संस्थागत आचार समिति (आईईसी) और वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान समिति (एसआरसी) द्वारा किया जाता है। प्रशिक्षु अपने प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों के आईईसी और एसआरसी द्वारा अपनी थीसिस प्रोटोकॉल अनुमोदित होने के बाद अपनी थीसिस पर कार्य करना शुरू कर देंगे। All DNB trainees are required to write and submit the synopsis/protocol of their proposed theses work well within the timelines prescribed by NBEMS. The said thesis protocols are evaluated by the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) and the Scientific Research Committee (SRC) of the training institutes. The trainees start working on their theses after their theses protocols after approved by IEC and SRC of their training institutions.
एनबीईएमएस किसी भी थीसिस प्रोटोकॉल के अनुमोदन का मूल्यांकन या उसे संप्रेषित नहीं करता है। हालांकि प्रशिक्षु और उसके प्रशिक्षण संस्थान के लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि वह प्रशिक्षु की थीसिस प्रोटोकॉल के लिए आईईसी और एसआरसी के अनुमोदन को निदृष्ट समय सीमा के भीतर निर्धारित प्रोफार्मा के तहत एनबीईएमएस को संप्रेषित करे। प्रोटोकॉल बनाने और/या संस्थागत आईईसी और एसआरसी द्वारा इसके अनुमोदन और/या कथित अनुमोदन को एनबीईएमएस को संप्रेषित करने में विलंब का डीएनबी फाइनल परीक्षाओं के लिए प्रशिक्षु की पात्रता पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव पड़ सकता है। NBEMS does not evaluate and convey any approval for the theses protocols. However, it is mandatory for the trainee and his/her training institute to convey the approval of the IEC and SRC for the thesis protocol of the trainee to NBEMS as per prescribed proforma well within the timelines specified. A delay in preparing the protocol and/or its approval by the institutional IEC/SRC and/or in conveying the said approval to NBEMS may have an adverse impact on trainee’s eligibility for DNB Final Examinations.
थीसिस अनुसंधान कार्य और लेखन के सफलतापूर्वक पूर्ण होने के बाद, DNB प्रशिक्षु को निर्धारित समय-सीमा के भीतर मूल्यांकन के लिए अपनी थीसिस को एनबीईएमएस मे जमा करने की अवश्यकता है। मूल्यांकन के लिए एनबीईएमएस को थीसिस जमा करने मे किसी भी प्रकार का विलंभ DNB फाइनल परीक्षाओं के लिए DNB प्रशिक्षुओं की पात्रता को प्रभावित करेगा। After successful completion of the thesis research work and writing, the DNB trainees are required to submit their theses to NBEMS for assessment well within the timelines prescribed. Any delay in submission of thesis to NBEMS for assessment shall impact the eligibility of the DNB trainees for DNB Final Examinations.
DNB प्रशिक्षुओं की थीसिस का मूल्यांकन एनबीईएमएस के विषय विशेषज्ञों द्वारा किया जाता है और परिणाम को प्रेषित किया जाता है। ऐसी स्थिति में जहां DNB प्रशिक्षु की थीसिस को प्रस्तुत रूप में स्वीकृत नहीं किया जाता है, उसे उसी को निर्धारित समय-सीमा के भीतर संशोधित करने को कहा जाता है। प्रशिक्षु को आवश्यक संशोधन करने और संशोधित थीसिस को अपने थीसिस मार्गदर्शक के माध्यम से पुनः मूल्यांकन के लिए पुनः जमा करने की ज़रूरत है। संशोधित थीसिस को प्रशिक्षुओं द्वारा निगमित सुधारों और/या थीसिस मूल्यांकनकर्ता द्वारा इसकी स्वीकृति के अनुसार स्वीकृत किया जा सकता है या पुनः संशोधन की सलाह दी जा सकती है। Theses of DNB trainees are assessed by subject experts of NBEMS and the outcome is communicated. In case the thesis of a DNB trainee is not accepted in the form presented, he/she is asked to modify the same within the timelines prescribed. A trainee is required to do the necessary modifications and to resubmit the modified thesis through his/her thesis guide to NBEMS for re-assessment. The modified thesis may get accepted or may be advised re-modifications depending upon the corrections incorporated by the trainees and/or its acceptance by the thesis assessor.
प्रशिक्षु की थीसिस के एनबीईएमएस द्वारा स्वीकृत हो जाने के बाद उसे एक स्वीकृति पत्र नामतः थीसिस स्वीकृति पत्र (टीएसी) के रूप में प्रशिक्षु तक प्रेषित कर दिया जाता है। Once the thesis of a trainee gets accepted by NBEMS, same is communicated to the trainee in form of an acceptance letter called as Thesis Acceptance Letter (TAC).

फॉर्मेटिव असेसमेंट Formative Assessment:

प्रशिक्षु अपने DNB प्रशिक्षण के दौरान फॉर्मेटिव एवं सम्मेटिव असेसमेंट दोनों से गुजरना है। फॉर्मेटिव असेसमेंट केंद्रीकृत फॉर्मेटिव असेसमेंट टेस्ट (एफएटी) के रूप में DNB प्रशिक्षण के दूसरे वर्ष (3 वर्षीय पाठ्यक्रम के लिए) या पहले वर्ष (2 वर्षीय पाठ्यक्रम के लिए) में एनबीईएमएस द्वारा आयोजित किया जाता है। एफएटी में एक सैद्धांतिक परीक्षा और उसके बाद कार्य क्षेत्र आधारित मूल्यांकन शामिल है। प्रशिक्षण के शेष वर्षों में, प्रशिक्षण संस्थान लगभग एफएटी की तर्ज पर अंतिरिक मूल्यांकन आयोजित करते हैं। एफएटी/आंतरिक मूल्यांकन के परिणाम प्रशिक्षु का DNB प्रशिक्षण में हुई प्रगति और पाठ्यक्रम सुधार, यदि है, की ओर मार्गदर्शन करता है, एफएटी/आंतरिक मूल्यांकन के अंक/ग्रेड सम्मेटिव असेसमेंट में नहीं जोड़े जाते हैं। सभी DNB प्रशिक्षुओं के लिए अपने DNB प्रशिक्षण के दौरान न्यूनतम एफएटी/आंतरिक मूल्यांकन में भाग लेना अनिवार्य है। The trainees are subjected to both Formative and Summative Assessment during their DNB training. The Formative Assessment in the form of a Centralized Formative Assessment Test (FAT), is conducted by NBEMS during the 2nd Year (for 3-year course) or 1st year (for 2-year course) of DNB training. FAT comprises of a theory examination followed by work place-based assessment. During rest of the years of training, the training institute conducts Internal Assessments on lines almost similar to the FAT. Whereas the assessment outcome of FAT/Internal Assessments guides a trainee towards the progress made in the DNB training and the course corrections required, if any, the marks/grades of FAT/Internal Assessment are not added to the Summative Assessment. It is mandatory for all DNB trainees to attend the minimum number of FAT/Internal Assessments during their DNB training.
सभी DNB प्रशिक्षुओं को फाइनल परीक्षा, जो DNB पात्रता पुरस्कार प्रदान करेगी, में उपस्थित होने की आवश्यकता है। आयुर्विज्ञान में राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा बोर्ड हर वर्ष अक्सर जुलाई और दिसंबर के माह में DNB फाइनल परीक्षा का आयोजन करता है। All DNB trainees are required to attend the final examination leading to the award of DNB qualification. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conduct DNB Final Examination usually in June and December every year.

सम्मेटिव असेसमेंट Summative Assessment:

DNB फाइनल दो स्तरीय परीक्षा है जिसमें सैद्धांतिक और प्रेक्टिकल परीक्षा शामिल हैं। एनबीईएमएस के साथ पंजीकृत प्रशिक्षु एनबीईएमएस द्वारा निर्धारित अपेक्षित अवधि का प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त करने और सूचना बुलेटिन में दिए अन्य पात्रता मानदंड को पूरा करने के बाद DNB फाइनल परीक्षा में उपस्थित हो सकते हैं। प्रशिक्षुओं कों DNB फाइनल परीक्षा के किसी विशिष्ट सत्र के लिए पात्र होने के लिए निर्धारित कट-ऑफ तिथि तक अपना DNB प्रशिक्षण पूरा करने की आवश्यकता है। DNB Final is a two-stage examination comprising of theory and practical examination. A DNB trainee registered with NBEMS on obtaining requisite period of training as prescribed by NBEMS & fulfilling other eligibility criteria as stated in the Information Bulletin may appear for the DNB final examination. The trainees are required to complete their DNB training by a prescribed cut-off date to be eligible for a particular session of DNB Final Examination.
सैद्धांतिक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण कर चुके DNB प्रशिक्षु को प्रेक्टिकल परीक्षा में उपस्थित होने की अनुमति दी जाती है। सैद्धांतिक परीक्षा में अनुत्तीर्ण होने वाले प्रशिक्षुओं को सैद्धांतिक परीक्षा में पुनः उपस्थित होने की आवश्यकता है। DNB trainee who has qualified the theory examination is permitted to appear in the practical examination. Those who fail to qualify the theory examination are required to reappear in the theory examination.

दीक्षांत समारोह एवं DNB योग्यता के लिए डिग्री प्रदान करना Convocation and award of DNB Qualification:

DNB प्रशिक्षु जो DNB फाइनल सैद्धांतिक और प्रेक्टिकल परीक्षा दोनों उत्तीर्ण कर लेते हैं और जिनकी थीसिस को आयुर्विज्ञान में राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा बोर्ड द्वारा स्वीकृत किया गया है, को एनबीईएमएस दीक्षांत समारोह के लिए नामांकन करने पर संबन्धित विशिष्टता में DNB योग्यता की डिग्री प्रदत्त किया जाएगा। DNB trainees who have qualified both DNB Final Theory & Practical Examinations, and whose theses have been accepted by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, shall be conferred with DNB qualification in the specialty concerned on enrolment for the NBEMS convocation.
