NOTICE

INTRODUCTION OF FNB PEDIATRIC NEPHROLOGY PROGRAMME- REGARDING

Attention: All NBE Accredited Hospitals/Institutes/Medical Colleges

 

NBE grants accreditation to institutions/hospitals in public and private sector all over the country for the purpose of training of candidates in various specialties and disciplines of modern medicine.

 

2.    Considering the emerging need to increase the pool of competent and skilled specialists and sub specialists so as to cater to the healthcare needs of the society and community at large, National Board of Examinations administer a 2 years Post Doctoral fellowship in 17 disciplines.

 

3.    NBE invites applications from eligible departments / institutions for a 2 years Post Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology. Interested institutions/hospitals/medical colleges which fulfill the criteria as laid down for this programme by NBE can apply for fresh accreditation.  Details of the minimum accreditation criteria and application forms are already available on NBE website www.natboard.edu.in

 

4.    Indicative Outline and requirements specific to aforesaid programme are as under:

2 years residency based programme.

4.

Admission Criteria for Candidates

A candidate should possess post graduate degree in Pediatrics.

As per the scheme so prescribed by the National Board of Examinations, as on date the admission to all courses is undertaken on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance examination conducted by NBE followed by Centralized Counseling.

5.

Final Examination

Conducted by NBE as per scheme prescribed.

6.

Accreditation Criteria for Hospitals

·         A 200 bedded hospital. In case of exclusively pediatric set up, 100 beds may be considered.

 

·         One Consultant with 8 years of exclusive practice in Paediatric Nephrology post DNB/MD qualification in Pediatrics; preferably specialized training in Paediatric Nephrology.

 

·         One Consultant with 5 years of exclusive practice in Paediatric Nephrology post DNB/MD qualification in Pediatrics; preferably specialized training in Paediatric Nephrology.

 

·         Medical Nephrology Unit

·         Paediatric Surgical Facilities

·         Paediatric Critical Care

·         Dialysis & Histo Pathological Examination facilities

·         Facilities for Radiology & Nuclear Medicine

·         Teaching Experience of faculty & Facilities

7.

Curriculum

The programme shall offer comprehensive knowledge about various aspects and recent advances in the area of Pediatrics and Nephrology, etc.

The cut off date for submission of application to NBE seeking fresh accreditation in FNB- Paediatric Nephrology is 28th February 2015.
