Kind Attn: All Candidates appearing in Second Round of DNB-CET (January 2014 admission session) Counseling

 

§  The schedule for second round of counseling for admission to DNB courses (January 2014 session) has already been notified and available at the NBE website.

 

§  In the event of any candidate’s date of participation in counseling January 2014 session clashing with the conduct of the General Election /Assembly Election (for Telangana and Seemandhra region), it has been decided that:

 

o   Their personal appearance at the counseling is not mandatory

o   Such candidates can depute a proxy i.e. representative to appear and participate on their behalf

o   The identity and bio-metric verification in such candidates shall be relaxed. However, the representative of such candidates shall be required to produce the following:

(i)      An authorization letter indicating their identity and bearing the signature of candidate.

(ii)     Rank Letter

(iii)    Original documents as indicated in the counseling guidelines

(iv)   One original identification document of the candidate and one original identification document of the representative (refer counseling Handbook for list of identification documents)

 

§  The above procedure is applicable only in respect of those candidates who are eligible to caste their vote for General Elections 2014 and the date of polling in their respective areas /constituencies falls within the second round of counseling dates that is 29^th April 2014 – 7^th May 2014.

 

§  It is further clarified that such eligible candidates who shall exercise their voting rights are automatically entitled for above procedure for participation in counseling and no further permission or approval is required for participation through representative /proxy in the counseling.
